The paintings unfold through acts of layering and scraping, applying and erasing, veiling and revealing. Pigment is built up and removed in cycles of accumulation and loss, forming translucent surfaces that hold the record of their own making. Drawing, writing, and marking are buried and unearthed through a time-engaged process of sedimentation.
